Returns a reference as text to a single cell in a worksheet.

What it does

Creates a cell reference as text, given a row and column number.

Syntax

ADDRESS(row_num, column_num, [abs_num], [a1], [sheet_text])

Arguments

  • row_num(number) β€” The row number to use.
  • column_num(number) β€” The column number to use.
  • abs_num(number) β€” Type of reference (1=Absolute, 4=Relative).

Examples

Create absolute reference

Get address for Row 2, Col 3.
